How We Got Started

         SPTA stands for Student Physical Therapy Association. We are a student organization represented by the physical therapy program at Gannon University, Ruskin, FL.  SPTA originated in 2018 by our first PT class at Gannon. Our purpose  is to promote the profession of physical therapy throughout the school and community. As an organization, we want to encourage support among classmates, positive interaction with faculty, and meaningful education and involvement in the surrounding community in a professional manner.
